Zirc - a Bakony fővárosa

On the third highest point of Bakony, at an altitude of 644 m on the Papod Hill, you will find the Vitéz Bertalan Árpád lookout tower. Leaving the village of Hárskút, you can reach this lookout tower by walking about 1.6 km from the parking lot at the top of the hill. It is also accessible from Lókút and Eplény. Especially in clear weather, you can enjoy a fantastic view of Lake Balaton, the chain of the volcanic buttes, the ranges of High Bakony and the Benedictine Abbey of Pannonhalma from a height of 15 m.
