Zirc - a Bakony fővárosa

From the top level of the Mt. Ámos lookout tower you can enjoy a magnificent panorama, and in fine weather you can even see Lake Balaton. To the west, you can see the Zirc Basin and the peaks of High Bakony. In less than half an hour, the Eplény Chairlift will take you to the top of the mountain, from where the Barefoot Path will lead you to the lookout tower. It is also accessible on foot from the village starting from the Újtelep bus stop.
