GIANTS FROM THE ICE AGE IN THE BAKONY

The permanent exhibition ‘Giants from the Ice Age in the Bakony’ opened its gate in 2007. The main attractions of this exhibition are the skeletons of the two Csajág mammoths discovered in 2006. In addition the the mammoth skeletons, we can see the fossils of the most common fauna of mammoth steppe and a cave bear skeleton. The exhibition’s 3D images are rare in Central Europe. Thanks to the unique imaging, the scientific texts can be read in English and Hungarian.
