Jásd is a small village in the heart of the Bakony, whose inhabitants are faithful to the customs of the 18th century settlers.
Count. István Zichy, a landowner, began to rebuild the village, which had been destroyed and depopulated during the Turkish era, with the Swabian and Slovakian peoples.
The Slovak traditions, in particular, were very strongly preserved until the 1950s, both in language, costume, architecture and folk customs and traditions. Later, in order to preserve these traditions, the Jásd Pávakör was founded.
Based on this past, we have built the Bodzahouse as a tourist information point.
Within the walls of a 250 year old farm building, we have created the Bodzahouse based on the "house within a house" principle. What does this principle mean? It simply means that we have created a tourist centre in Jásd by reinforcing the walls from the inside, leaving the original walls intact. We have a strong symbiotic relationship with the country house. "The past and the present."
The house provides space for an interactive exhibition space, a starting point for themed tours, a community, events, and exhibition space, as well as a tourist information point and a souvenir sales point.

Interactive exhibition space – INRODUCING THE GAMES
Strengthening the "Jásd and the elderberries" brand - elderberry plantations in the village, jam making dating back to ancient times.
The versatile uses of elderberries as a crop and their connection with the people of Jásd will be presented to visitors in an interactive, permanent exhibition. The Bodzahouse gallery, open all year round, also features permanent exhibitions of paintings, and products made from elderberries can be purchased in our gift shop.
The interactive exhibition space offers an experiential exhibition with 21st century technology - wi-fi, smartphone-readable displays, LCD projection, trilingual displays (Hungarian, English, Slovak) (- our school offers Slovak language education in the ascending order, i.e. from 1st to 8th grade).
