Tés is located on the Tés Plateau in the Bakony Mountains. It is the highest settlement in the Eastern Bakony, sitting at an elevation of 465 meters above sea level. Thanks to the constant winds, the air quality here is clean, making it suitable for harnessing wind energy. The Tés Plateau is situated in the eastern part of the Bakony Mountains, and its settlement history dates back to ancient times. This forested plateau was cherished even by people of antiquity, including the Romans, who found it suitable for settlement as evidenced by archaeological finds from the Stone Age, Bronze Age, and Roman era.

Windmills and Blacksmith Workshop
In the village, there are two historic windmills, one of which is still functional. Adjacent to the windmills is a blacksmith workshop that preserves the memory of local craftsmen, coopers, blacksmiths, and farriers. A sign before Táncsics Street 20 indicates how to approach the operational windmill, and visitors can access the landmarks through the courtyard of a private house. The blacksmith workshop is open to tourists.
