The exhibition of church history and history of the order was established in the former ‘orange house’ of the Abbey. The visitors can learn about the former and current everyday life of monks living in Zirc – with smaller or larger interruptions – for 800 years with.
Members of the community tell about their vocation, duties and life. In addition to personal speeches, exhibits also have their own story: artifacts, works of art and liturgical works on display tell the history of the Abbey. Visitors can learn about the history of the Cistercian monks from the foundation of the Abbey in 1182 until today, about the changes and progress of the order’s activities and duties n Hungary. Interactive touch screen information board and audio guide help you to orient.
