Organ music and getting to know the "Queen of Instruments"
Welcome to Zirc, our beautiful little town in the hearth of Bakony, and the surrounding picturesque mountains. Have a look at the abbey and the restored church organ. We are glad to inform you that guide and organ concerts are available even for small groups.
Two separate program offerings:
1. Listening to organ music from below, a concert showcasing the instrument's sounds.
15 minutes of organ music, with the participation of our church's organist, available upon prior registration. Through the masterpieces of the music literature, you can marvel at the sound of our organ in the excellent acoustics of the Basilica.
2. A presentation on how the organ works, with demonstrations primarily for children.
As part of our workshop titled 'Getting to Know the Queen of Instruments,' we offer children the opportunity, upon prior registration, to explore our church's renowned organ up close, under the guidance of an organist. They will learn about its operation and, most importantly, experience the beauty of its sound. Maximum group size: 25 participants.
