Description

From the settlement’s centre we are going on the Z path eastward. At the edge of the village we go to the right and along the former Fischer Mansion, we continue our journey with several right-angled bends. Crossing a small stream, we go across the hill before us first under tress and then on an open ground. On its other side we descend into the valley of a small brook. Crossing the brook, soon we reach the forest. As we climb the hillside, from the left we come round a deep valley. On the left, the P+ arrives from the Zoltay well. The Z path continues to the right on a wide cart-road. We reach an open ground and see the buildings of Tündérmajor to the north. We cross a wide unpaved road and our marked path will soon reach a forest. We continue our journey on an overgrown cart-road, which becomes narrow path at several sections. We are still walking on the forest’s edge. The Z □ sign turns right towards Szarvaskút. Our path becoming wider and wider continues straight ahead. Near a fenced section, we change to a trail. Out of the woods there is an open ground. We have to follow a relatively straight, overgrown path with few signs. Our target is the opposite forest, next to which we see the outskirts of Zirc with the silhouette of the Abbey behind it. Our sing lead us into the forest, which is crossed by a path easy to walk on. Next to us there are karstic rocks and rugged surfaces. We reach the forest edge and descend to the town outskirts on a bushy, spinney slope. We turn left on the unpaved road. Above us there is a cross, it is worth to go up for the sight. There are Zirc and the Zirc Basin before us, the woods of the Pintér Hill to the left, Olaszfalu to the right and a little further Ámos Hill of Eplény. We can see the houses of Nagyesztergár and the Tés Plateau. In clear weather the plateau of the Vértes Hills marks the horizon. We continue our journey on the Irtás Street and turning right to the Eötvös, then the József Attila street, we descend to the central square of Zirc, the Rákóczi square.
