Zirc - a Bakony fővárosa

The Lower Cuha canyon is the most beautiful valley of the Cuha creek. To the north of Vinye, we cah reach it by following the red plus sign. There are three caves on the way: these are the Zsivány cave, the Kőpince cave and the Remete cave. We can witness the forms that develop by the water’s destructive force. During our journey, we can see the memorial of Pál Kitaibel, the pioneering botanist of Hungary and recall Flóris Rómer’s archaeological and ethnographic descriptions on this area. This part of the valley is difficult to walk, wearing suitable shoes is essential.
