Zirc - a Bakony fővárosa

The Kőmosó Canyon is located in Csesznek, at the castle hill foot, on the Main Road 82 side. The easiest way to get there is either from the Vasút street from the green zone sign on the green omega sign, or from the Vár street on the red cross sign (across the former Jewish cemetery). Today, we can admire the beautiful shapes carved by the water in centuries. The ravine is always shady and the rocks are covered with moss. The path carved in the cliff is in same places narrow, therefore the safety of hikers is ensured by ropes. At the end of the canyon, the climbing paths of via ferrata (iron path) are running up on the cliff of the castle hill, where the braver hikers can exploit their rock climbing abilities under safe conditions.
